The Purna Chandra Industrial Institute was inaugurated on the 16th July 1931. The Institute was founded in loving memory of Late Maharaja Purna Chandra Bhanj Deo with a donation of Rupees one lac from the Junior Maharani Saheba, of Mayurbhanj State. The Institute commenced its first session from the 10th August, 1931.

୧୬ ଜୁଲାଇ ୧୯୩୧ ରେ ଏହି ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନଟି ଉଦ୍ଘାଟିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା | ମହାରାଜା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ଭଂଜ ଦେଓ ଙ୍କ ସ୍ମରଣରେ ତତ୍କାଳୀନ ସାନ ମହାରାଣୀ ସାହେବାଙ୍କ ଲକ୍ଷେ ଟଙ୍କା ଅନୁଦାନରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ହୋଇଥିବା ଏହି ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନର ପ୍ରଥମ ସତ୍ର ୧୦ ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ୨୯୩୧ ଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିଲା |
